users of truck-tractors with full oscillating fifth wheels consider replacement of
those fifth wheels with fore and aft rocking fifth wheels to avoid any possibility of
dangerous operation.)

could have an adverse influence on the PTO installation or the trailer operation.
Upon receipt of above information the applicable hoist actuation system may be selected in
3.5.1.
6.5 Manuals. All manuals for the semitrailer should be required to comply with SAE J920.
The parts manual should be in accordance with the ATA Vehicle Maintenance Reporting
Standards. In addition, one copy of the TTMA Semitrailer Maintenance Manual should be
required to be furnished by the contractor with each semitrailer, to augment his own maintenance
manual.
6.6 Warranty. The contracting officer should include a standard commercial warranty clause
in the contract.
6.7 Commercial OEM literature. The contracting officer should forward the verification of
ratings and commercial literature to the engineering offices of the procuring activity for
evaluation (see 3.1).
6.8 Military processing. Military processing should be specified when the dump semitrailers
are destined for overseas shipment or when the anticipated storage time within the continental
United States (CONUS) will exceed 1 year.
