MIL-S-48755A (AR)
3.3 Sensor Non-release (for BLU-92/B mine only)
The Tripline
Sensor (Dwg. 9292972) shall not release when subjected to a half
sine wave deceleration of 4200 +300-0 g's for a time duration of 300
50 microseconds, in the direction of deployment, when tested in
accordance with 4.5.1.1.
3.4 Sensor release
3.4.1 Ambient temperature (75F 10F). - When subjected
to a gage pressure of 300 25 pounds per square inch (psig) for a
maximum (max.) time duration of 200 milliseconds (ms.), the sensor
shall release satisfactorily, as evidenced by expelling the ejection
spring, sleeve, bobbin, anchor, cap and a length of tripline while
the bobbin post is retained in the sensor body and breakwire
continuity is maintained.
3.4.2 Cold temperature (Minus 40F - 5F).  When subjected
to a gage pressure of 500 25 psig. for a max. time duration of 200
ins., the sensor shall release satisfactorily as specified in 3.4.1.
3.5 Tripline deployment.  When the tripline sensor functions in
3.4, the tripline shall deploy as a minimum (min.), the distance
specified on Drawing 9292972 and remain continuous to the post.
3.6 Breakwire function.  When the pressure is released and the
tripline pulled, the breakwire shall break when tested as specified
in 4.5.1.4.  Prior to breakwire function, the bobbin post must be
retained within the sensor case and the thread must not break.
3.7 Post retention and thread breaking strength.  When a 540
grams min. pull force is applied as specified in 4.5.1.5, post
(For
retention and tripline integrity should be maintained.
information only).
3.8 Breakwire continuity.  The resistance between the leadwires
(for Pt. No. 9292972-1) or between the breakwire terminals (for Pt.
No. 9292972-2) shall not be greater than 0.1 ohms.
3.9 Embrittlement of springs.  Ejection springs and booster
springs shall not break when extended to the min. point of permanent
distortion.
3.10 Process controls.  The contractor shall define and
document the process for each of the following operations and shall
not change that process after successful completion of first article
testing without prior consent and approval of the Government
Technical Agency (Ref. Sec 6.4, DI-P-1604 (Mod) with Attachment I):
Assembly and crimp of Release Mechanism and Case Assembly,
Dwg. 9292986.
