MILITARY SPECIFICATION
SEMITRAILERS, LOWBED: TILT DECK, 15 TO 30 TON, 4 WHEEL,
MODIFIED COMMERCIAL
This specification is approved for use by all departments and agencies of the
Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers lowbed, tilt deck, four-wheel semitrailers having
rated payloads of 15 to 30 tons. Vehicles procured under this specification are commercial items
which are warranted by the manufacturer as specified in procurement documents.
1.2 Classification. The semitrailer shall be one of the following sizes, as specified
(see 6.2):
Size 15 - 15 ton
Size 20 - 20 ton
Size 22 - 22 ton
Size 25 - 25 ton
Size 30 - 30 ton.
