5. 1.1 Level A
5. 1.1.1 Cleaning. The switch shall be cleaned in accordance with Method
c-l, MIL-P-116.
5. 1.1.2 Drying. The switch shall be dried in accordance with Method D-4,
MIL-P-116.
5. 1.1.3 Unit packing. The switch shall be individually packaged in
accordance with Method 1A-8, MIL-P-116.
5. 1.2 Level C. Cleaning, drying, preservation, and packaging shall be
in accordance with the supplier's commercial practice, when such practices
have been approved by the procuring activity.
5.2 Packing. Packing shall be Level A or C as specified. (See 6. 2C and
6.4. )
5.2.1 Level A. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, order, or req -
uisition, the switches shall be packed in exterior-type shipping containers,
PPP-B-621, of uniform size and shape, with the minimum cube and tare con-
sistent with the protection required. The gross weight of eight pack shall be
limited to approximately 100 pounds. Containers shall be provided with a
case liner, MIL-L-10547, and shall be closed and strapped in accordance with
PPP-B-621.

5.2.2 Level C. The switch packaged as specified in 5.1.2, shall be
packed to afford protection against damage during shipment from the supply
source to the first receiving activity for immediate use. Containers shall
comply with common carrier regulations applicable to the mode of transpor-
tation.
5.3 Marking. In addition to any special marking required by the contract
or order, unit packages, intermediate packages, and shipping containers shall
be marked in accordance with the requirements of MIL-STD-129.

6.1 Intended use and description.
6. 1.1 Intended use. The switch is intended to be used in a fuze to protect
the fuze against high temperature.
6. 1.2 Description. The switch is a safety device designed to open three
electrical circuits when ambient temperature reaches a predetermined level.
