MIL-S-85018A(AS)
The heading turn rate for magnetic slaving cutoff shall be the same regardless
of the vertical mode.  Cutoff shall be commanded within 30 seconds after the
start of an 3 degree per minute turn, and erection shall be restored within 20
seconds after termination of the turn rate.  Cutoff shall not be actuated by a 3
degree peak to peak oscillation with an 8 second period nor by a 1.5 degree peak
to peak oscillation with a period of one second.  Turn rate cutoff shall be dis-
abled in the EMERG mode.
All system operational computations shall be done digitally. All
system computations shall be primarily digital with analog output, as specified,
for the aircraft equipments, controls, displays and presentations.  Provision
shall be included in the digital processor for reducing digital pulse train and
sense information for reference velocity utilization.  Acceleration in either
direction along the vertical axis greater than .07g shall be used to cutoff the
respective erection as specified herein for the compensated first order mode. A
timer shall be actuated that disables the cutoff command if the condition exists
for more than 360 seconds.  After the acceleration has dropped below the cutoff
threshold for 15 seconds, the timer shall be reset and the cutoff disable shall
be removed.
