3.6.24.2 Starter/APU Output Generator.  The starter/APU power
Producing generator shall have a three phase star connected
stator winding with all three phases and the neutral brought out.
The output shall be a nominal 201 volts RMS line to line, within
a frequency range of 380 to 420 Hz.  The output shall meet the
electrical characteristics of MIL-STD-704.
3.6.24.3 Connectors.  External electric connectors shall be in
accordance with MIL-C-38999.  Provisions for lockwiring the
connector plugs shall be incorporated at the electrical
receptacle.

shall be made in accordance with MIL-E-5400 and MIL-STD-454.
Electrical system components shall be
3.6.24.5 Explosion-Proof.
of the explosion proof type, and shall not constitute a fire nor
explosion hazard to the aircraft when installed in an area where
flammable or explosive vapors may be present.
3.6.24.6 Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).  The safety and
control unit shall be designed to meet the electro-magnetic
compatibility requirements of MIL-STD-461, Notice 3, Class F
which includes tests CE03, RE02, and RS03.  However, the field
intensity for test RS03 shall be as follows:
20 volts/meter from 14 KHz to 200 MHz
65 volts/meter from 200 MHz to 450 MHz
20 volts/meter from 450 MHz to 1.0 GHz
100 volts/meter from 1.0 GHz to 40.0 GHz
3.6.24.7 Dielectric Strength.  The starters electrical system
and system components shall be designed to meet the requirements
of MIL-E-25499.
3.6.25 Provisions For Maintainability.  Built in test equipment,
construction and packaging, and provisions for test points shall
be as specified in specification AR-10.
3.6.25.1 Compatibility with VAST.  Equipment shall be compatible
with ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) and shall meet the
requirements of MIL-STD-2076.  ATE test program shall be
furnished in accordance with MIL-STD-2077.  If changes are made
which will affect the fault diagnosis procedure, changes to the
existing test program shall be prepared as part of the equipment
