The test time duration in each direction shall be at least one
minute following centrifuge stabilization.
4.5.19.3 Limit Loads. The equipment shall be subjected to the
limit load factors specified in Figure 12. The equipment shall
satisfactorily demonstrate its specified performance after the
limit load tests. No distortion or permanent set is permitted
after application of limit loads.
4.5.19.4 Ultimate Loads. The equipment shall be subjected to
the ultimate load factors of 1.5 times the limit loads of Figure
12. Distortion and permanent set are permitted; however, there
shall be no structural failure. Equipment operation is not
required during or after application of ultimate loads.
4.5.20 Starter/APU Electrical System.
4.5.20.1 Explosion Atmosphere. The starter/APU electrical
system shall meet the requirements of 3.6.24.5 when tested in
accordance with MIL-STD-810, Method 511.1 Procedure I except that
the explosion atmosphere shall be a mixture of air and JP-4
(MIL-T-5624) with MAIT of +436F (819C). The test shall be
limited to an altitude of 30,000 feet.
4.5.20.2 Electromagnetic Interference. The starter/APU
electrical system shall meet the requirements of 3.6.24.6 when
tested in accordance with applicable portions of MIL-STD-462.
4.5.20.3 Dielectric Strength. The starter/APU electrical
equipment shall be subjected to a dielectric strength test which
meets the requirements of MIL-E-25499.
4.5.21 Acceptance Tests. An acceptance test shall be run on
each starter prior to delivery and shall consist of the following
tests as a minimum.
4.5.21.1 Acceptance Data. An acceptance test data summary sheet
shall be prepared for each starter unit. The following items
shall be recorded as minimum:
