4.8 Examination and tests.
4.8.1 Examination. Each test set shall be visually and dimensionally examined in accordance with
table I to determine compliance with this specification and its associated drawings as specified in
3.1.2. Examination in accordance with table I shall not relieve the contractor of his responsibility
to meet all drawing requirements not listed by the table Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), the
classification for all nonconforming unlisted characteristics and workmanship defects shall be
determined by the contracting officer. A test set is defective if any of the requirements listed in
table I are not met.

hardware.

Paint shall be free of chips, blisters and deep scratches.

Cable Assemblies CA-731 and CA-802 shall be stowed in the cable well
of the test set (Ref 1379022).

Hinges 1854075, two hinges, and Drawbolts 1854076, two drawbolts, shall
hold the lid of the instrument case to the bottom with positive action (Ref
491048, 491049).
