4.8.2.2.2 One-second timing delay circuit The procedures of 4.8.2.2.2a, through 4.8.2.2.2d shall
be conducted in sequence immediately following the test of 4.8221.
a Set the TEST SELECTOR switch at 5
b. Connect the electric timer specified by 4.7b to the positive (+) binding post BP1, and the
negative (-) binding post BP2 Both binding posts are located on the panel.

c. Depress and hold the START switch until the timer stops. The timer shall run for 1.0
second.
d. Disconnect the timer and remove the jumper from the VOLTAGE and LEAKAGE meter.
(This procedure may be omitted when the test of 4.826.4 immediately follows 4.8.2.2c).
and
4.8.2.3 Battery voltage test. This test shall be performed at a temperature between
after the test set has been calibrated in accordance with 3.5.3. The test set shall be energized
and allowed to warm up for 15 minutes. Procedures 4.8.2.3a through 4.8.2.3k shall be performed
in sequence.
a. Set the TEST SELECTOR switch at 1.
b. Momentarily depress the START switch. The test set shall start to cycle.
c. When panel lamp PL 11 lights, immediately set the ON-OFF switch at OFF.
d. Connect the positive terminal of a 6-volt heavy duty dry cell to pin V of the 19-pin
ADAPTER CABLES connector and connect the negative terminal of the dry cell in series with
the O. 1-megohm resistor specified by 4.7e to pin N of the 19-pin connector.
e Set the NO LOAD-LOAD switch at NO LOAD.
f. Set the ON-OFF switch at ON. The VOLTAGE and LEAKAGE meter shall indicate 60
15 until the test set completes stepping and the HOME lamp lights.
g. Remove the dry cell and resistor from the 19-pin connector.
h. Connect the positive terminal of the dry cell to pin C of the 3-pin ADAPTER CABLES
connector and connect the negative terminal of the dry cell in series with the O. 1-megohm resistor
specified by 4.7e to pin B of the 3-pin connector.
i. Set the TEST SELECTOR switch at 2.
j. Momentarily depress the START switch.
The VOLTAGE and LEAKAGE meter shall
indicate 60  15 for about 5 seconds.
