3.4 Reliability. - The artillery trainer shall have a Mean Actuations
Between Failure (MABF) of 30,000 exclusive of the laser gun (M55).
3.5 Environmental requirements.
3.5.1 Operational conditions. - The artillery trainer shall show
no evidence of damage or deterioration and shall meet all requirements
of 3.6 under the following environmental conditions.The following
items are excluded:

3.5.1.1 Temperature. - After thermal stabilization of -18C (0F)
and 38C (100F).
3.5.1.2 Humidity. - Conditions specified in Method 507.1, Procedure IV,
M1L-STD-810, except the number of humidity cycles will be limited to two.
3.5.2 Non-operating conditions. - The artillery trainer and its
equipment, shall show no evidence of damage or deterioration and shall
meet all requirements of 3.6 after the following environmental exposure.

3.5.2.1 Storage temperature. - Thermal stabilization at -54C (-65F)
for 24 hours and 66C (+150F) for 24 hours.
3.5.2.2 Vibration "A". - Conditions specified in Method 514.2, Proce-
dure VIII, Curve V, Figure 514.2-6, Table 514.2-VI, M1L-STD-81O, with trainer
mounted in simulated operating position.
3.5.2.3 Vibration "B". - Stored: Conditions specified in Method
514.2, Procedure X, Curve AY, Table 514.2-VII, Figure 514.2-7, MIL-STD-810,
with the trainer properly stored in the transit and storage case, Drawing
F11747158.
3.5.2.4 Shock. - The trainer shall operate in accordance with the
requirements of this specification and shall show no evidence of damage or
deterioration following exposure to conditions specified in Method 516.2,
