temperature readout from minus 5F (-20C) to plus 104F (40C) at full speed,
adjustable dynamic braking, electric tachometer, pilot lights, temperature control and
indicator. Units to operate from 230 volts ac, 60 Hz, single phase, 25-ampere
vehicle supply. Units shall be equipped with 0 to 30 minute timers.
(c)
Sink and permanently mounted recreational vehicle style toilet, installed on
streetside. The sink and toilet shall include a 14-gallon capacity polyethylene
holding tank for out-of-sight, below-floor installation with either bottom or end drain
and shall include fittings and connectors with disposal hose section (see 3.5.9).
(d)
Opaque curtain to enclose sink and toilet with track at ceiling.
(e)
A lab counter surfaced with Formica or equal, installed across rear bulkhead above
generator compartment. With storage cabinets between top of counter and top of
insulated recessed generator compartment if space permits.
(f)
Storage cabinets with sliding doors and positive latches installed at ceiling above
counter.
(g)
A hinged Formica or equal, surfaced folding counter mounted on inside of
emergency door.
(h)
A Jewett Model CT-1 or equal, blood bank refrigerator shall be installed on the
counter across the rear bulkhead. The refrigerator shall be equipped with
temperature monitor and automatic controls factory set to produce and maintain a
temperature of 2C to 4C. The refrigerator shall include a 7-day chart recorder.
Insulation shall be installed, if required, to prevent excessive heat transfer from the
engine generator set to the blood bank refrigerator.
(i)
An access door for centrifuge service and removal shall be provided within the
streetside wall. The access door opening shall be of adequate size to permit easy
entrance and exit for servicing and removal of the centrifuge.
(j)
Two 120-volt exhaust fans shall be installed within the wall or door for heat
dissipation. One fan shall be located behind each refrigerated centrifuge.
3.5.11 Sound system. A sound system, including a solid state amplifier, an AM/FM
radio/cassette tape recorder unit, and three ceiling-mounted speakers, shall be provided. The
amplifier shall include a microphone and cords, and connectors to connect additional sound
equipment. Speakers shall be provided with individual volume controls located to permit easy
access by the operator. The sound system shall perform satisfactorily with all equipment in
operation.
