repeat the in-process inspection. Upon Government verification that the tests and inspections
were successfully conducted and witnessed by the Government, the tests of 4.3.2.1 and 4.3.2.2
need not be repeated.
4.4.5 Upsetting and range of movement test. With the truck resting on approximately level
ground, without payload, and not fastened to any artificial base, the basket(s) shall be loaded
with two times the specified payload (see 3.6.5). The basket(s) shall be extended to its full reach
and exercised through the full range of traverse and elevations indicated in 3.3.3, and shall
include at least the following positions:
(a)
When the upper and lower booms are in a horizontal, or in their most horizontal, plane
and extended to maximum reach
(b)
When the lower boom is horizontal, or near horizontal, and to the side of the vehicle,
and the upper boom is in the most vertical position possible
(c)
When the lower boom is at maximum travel from the stowed position, and the upper
boom is horizontal and 45 degrees to the side of the vehicle, or over the four corners of
the vehicle. Rotate turntable with twice the specified load (see 3.6.5) 360 degrees and
stop each 15 degrees. Reverse the turntable and stop each 20 degrees.
The inner dual tire shall be observed for conformance to the stability requirements of 3.3.3 with
twice the load (see 3.6.5). The test shall be repeated with 1.5 times the specified payload
(see 3.6.5) and the outriggers and all tires observed for conformance to the stability requirements
of 3.3.3 with 1.5 times the load.
*  4.4.6 Wind test. With the vehicle not loaded, with the outriggers extended, and the rated
capacity placed in the basket(s), the boom assembly shall be extended to maximum height and
shall be rotated to that position whereby the greatest area of the basket(s) is parallel to the
longitudinal centerline of the vehicle. The specified wind load, generated by artificial means or
by an equivalent simulated load, shall be applied to the vehicle from either side (see 3.3.4).
4.4.7 Speed test. With the vehicle resting on approximately level ground, the basket(s) shall
be loaded with specified load (see 3.6.5). The basket(s) shall be traversed and elevated to
determine conformance to the requirements in 3.3.5, 3.3.6 and 3.3.7.
*  4.4.8 Creep test. With the vehicle longitudinal on a 5 percent grade, without leveling the
vehicle, with specified load (see 3.6.5) in the basket(s), and with the hydraulic fluid stabilized at
or near ambient temperature, the basket(s) shall be extended to the side with lower boom in
vertical or nearest capable vertical position, and the upper boom in horizontal position. The
position shall be held for at least 1 hour for maximum horizontal creep of 25 mm/h
