4.5.4.5.3 Connect the insulation tester to pin 1 and the case (mounting
stud)) of the transformer.
4.5.4.5.4 Apply a potential of 350 vdc for a period of one minute.
There shall be no evidence of breakdown.
4.5.4.5.5 Connect the insulation tester to pin 3 and the case (mounting
stud) of the transformer.
4.5.4.5.6 Apply a potential of 200 vdc far a period of one minute.
There shall be no evidence of breakdown.
4.5.4.6 To measure the isulation resistance as set forth in 3.4.5:
(This test is to be performed after 4.5.4.5 )
4.5.4.6.1 Connect the insulation tester (4.5.3.5) to pins 1 and 4 of
the transformer.
4.5.4.6.1.1 Apply a potential of 100 vdc for two minutes.
4.5.4.6.1.2 Measure the resistance at a test potential of1 00 vdc
after the two-minute period has elapsed.
4.5.4.6.1.3 The resistance shall meet the requirements of 3.4.5.
4.5.4.6.2 Connect the insulation tester to pin 1 and the case
(mounting stud) of the transformer.
4.5.4 .6.2.1 Repeat the procedures of 4.5.4.6.1.1 and 4.5.4.6.1.2.
4.5.4.6.2.2 The resistance shall meet the requirements set forth
in 3.4.5.
4.5.4.6.3 connect the insulation tester to pin 3 and the case
(mounting stud) of the transformer.
4.5.4.6.3.1 Repeat the procedures of 4.5.4.6.1.1 and 4.5.4.6.1.2
4.5.4.6.3.2 The resistance shall meet the requirements set forth in
3.4.5.
4.5.4.7 Visual and dimensional examinations. Each transformer shall
be examined to determine conforman ce with the requirements for workman-
ship and dimensions.
4.5.4.8 Packaging, packing, and marking . Examine the packaging, packing,
and marking to determine conformance with the requirements of Section 5.
