(d) Heat Exchanger - A heat exchanger shall be installed in the return
line.
The heat exchanger shall be a liquid-to-air type and shall maintain the
0
fluid temperature at 54.4 + 16.6C (130 + 30 F) through use of an air
blower and thermostatically controlled bypass.
The following controls shall be provided on the
3.4.1.6.6.8 Controls.
Control Panel.
(a) START-ON - The Start-On control shall be a flush square, illumi-
nated panel push switch conforming to MIL-S-22885. When external power
is applied to the unit by the HYD-ON switch the legend START shall be

be energized by depressing the illuminated panel. When the illuminated
panel is depressed, the legend ON shall be illuminated in black letters
on green background and the Start Legend shall be deenergized.
(b) STOP-OFF - The STOP-OFF control shall be a flush square,
illuminated panel push switch conforming to MIL-S-22885. When external
power is applied to the unit by the HYD-ON switch the legend OFF shall be
illuminated in black leters on a red background. When the START -ON
switch is depressed, the OFF legend shall be deenergized and the legend
STOP shall be illuminated in black leters on a white background. De-
pressing the switch will deenergize the pumping unit.
(c) LAMPS (Lamp Control Switch) - The Lamp Control Switch shall
be a single pole, single throw toggle switch conforming to MS 25307-252
to energize or reenergize all switch and indicating lamps.
(d) LAMP TEST - The LAMP TEST control shall be a flush square,
illuminated panel push switch conforming to MIL-S-22885 to test the filter,
pump and pressure indicating lamps and the stop and on switch lights. When
external power is applied to the unit by the HYD -ON switch the legend
LAMP TEST shall be illuminated in black letters on a white background
and shall remain illuminated as long as external power is applied to the
unit and the Lamp Control Switch is on.
