3.4.1.6.7.7.5.1 Connections.
The following connections shall be provided
on the Control--Panel:
(a) Coolant .- A SUPPLY and RETURN quick-disconnect connector
shall be provided to mate with coolant lines specified in 3.4.1.6.7.7.6.
(b) Sea Water - An OUT and an IN water connector shall each be sup-
plied. Connectors shall be l/2-inch outside diameter tube, stainless steel,
fittings with 3/4 -16 UNF-24 standard thread.
(c) Electrical - An electrical recptacle marked 63A1A3J1 or 63A7J1
shall be provided to mate with MS3126-F-14-12S.
3.4.1.6.7.7.6 Coolant Lines.
Two 5/8-inch diameter lines 40 feet + 1 foot
long with quick-disconnect fittings at each end shall be provided. Connectors
shall be MS33656.
3.4.1.6.7.8 Controls.
The selection of air or sea water as the heat ex-
changer medium shall be made by a manual selector valve located on the
Control Panel. Positions shall be marked WATER and AIR. Electrical
power shall be applied through the LIQ COOL pushbutton control.
3.4.1.6.7.9 Protective Devices.
3.4.1.6.7.9.1 Safety Interlocks. The following Safety Interlocks shall be
provided:
(a) Temperature High - A temperature switch to allow interlocking
of the MCS 28 Vdc standby and operate signal with the fluid temperature

shall be interrupted when the RETURN Coolant connector exceeds 1070 + 3 C
(225 + 5F) on rising temperature. It shall close at 990C (210F) minimum
on a falling temperature.
The contacts shall be rated for 2A at 28 Vdc. The
HIGH TEMP indicator shall be illuminated when the switch is open.
(b) Temperature Low - A temperature switch shall allow +28 Vdc to
be applied to the LOW TEMP indicator to show when the coolant temperature
is below the regulated temperature range.
The switch shall be interrupted
when the temperature of the coolant at the SUPPLY coolant connector reaches
0
43 + 3C (110 + 5F) in a rising direction and shall close at 32C (+90 F)
minimum on a failing temperature,
The contacts shall be rated for 2 A at

28 Vdc.
