Interval timer - The CTS shall test the timing count out-
puts generated by the interval timer.
3.4.2.3.3 Data processor tests. The CTS shall test the data processor
functions. These functions shall include both the communication functions
and the special purpose processing functions.

Communication functions - Communications functions include
the interfaces between the data processor and other
avionics units. These functions include the following:
