(d) Self-checking the test set battery voltage.
(e) Fastening to the weapon in a positive manner.
(f) Adjusting to check weapons which have up to 2-1/2 degrees "downlook".
3.4.2 Lens Focus and Collimation - The target image projected by the test set
shall appear, to the weapon, to be a target at infinity. The target dots, wedge
shaped resolution lines, and shades of gray that make up the image shall be clear and
distinct.
3.4.3 Target Pattern Position - The illuminator assembly shall be aligned such
that when the target pattern is put into motion by operation of the motor, the path
traveled by the center of the target shall be within the tolerances indicated in
figure 1.
3,4.4 Self-Test Circuit - During battery operation, in order to indicate the
need for battery recharging, lamp DS4 on the control assembly shall go out when the
voltage across lamp DS3 drops to
volts d-c.
--
3.4.5 Motor Speed - During battery operation and a-c operation, the motor shall
drive the test set target pattern at a sinusoidal rate of 20 10 cycles per minute,
3.4.6 Luminance Output - The luminance output of the test set shall be a mini-
mum of 500 foot-lamberts when measured in accordance with 4,4.9.6.
3.5 Detail Requirements - The equipment shall be manufactured to meet the
requirements of applicable drawings listed in DL 64A16D1368.
3.6 Workmanship Defects - The contractor is also responsible for assuring that
discrepancies existing between hardware manufactured to the drawings and tested to
the specification are not the result of workmanship defects.
4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
4,1 Responsibility for Inspection - Unless otherwise specified in the contract
or purchase order the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection
