4.7.29 Interrupt circuitry tests.
4.7.29.1 Weapon hatch open interrupt override test. To determine conformance to
3.6.12.8.1, the fire interrupt circuitry shall be verified by opening the weapons hatch and
observing that fire interrupt and WPM hatch indicators are on, and the disabling of the trigger
signal and AZ and EL action. The fire interrupt alarm shall be demonstrated, and the override
function shall enable a trigger signal and permit action in AZ and EL. It shall be verified that
closing the weapon hatch turns off the fire interrupt alarm and permits normal system operation.
4.7.29.2 Driver's hatch open interrupt test. To determine conformance to 3.6.12.8.1, the fire
interrupt circuitry shall be verified by opening the driver's hatch, and observing that the fire and
driver's batch interrupt indicators are ON. Verify that the override function enables a trigger
signal and permits action in AZ and EL.
4.7.29.3 Cargo hatch open interrupt test. To determine conformance to 3.6.12.8.1, the fire
interrupt circuitry shall be verified by opening the cargo hatch (not fully-open position), and
observing that the CPA fire interrupt and cargo indicators are ON. Verify that the override
function enables a trigger signal and permits action in AZ and EL.
4.7.29.4 Azimuth fire interrupt region test. To determine conformance to 3.6.12.8.1, the
azimuth angular regions of fire interrupt for launcher elevation, fully depressed, shall be tested.
Azimuth regions are defined for the M901 vehicle in table II. Verify that with override on,
missile firing shall be permitted in the fire interrupt region by monitoring the missile fire circuit
breaker in the missile umbilical continuity test device.
4.7.29.5 Elevation fire interrupt test. To determine conformance to 3.6.12.8.1, the weapon
station shall be driven through 360 degrees in azimuth and the elevation fire interrupt angles
shall be tested in each azimuth region specified in table II by measuring launcher depression
angle when the fire interrupt light comes on. Depression angles shall conform to table II.
4.7.30 Weapon hatch interlock test. To determine conformance to 3.6.12.8.1 and 3.6.12.8.2,
the stow to erect circuitry shall be verified by opening the weapon station hatch sufficiently to
activate the proximity switch and observing for the appropriate CPA indications. Verify that the
launcher may be erected while the weapon station hatch is open.
4.7.31 Interrupt circuitry test. To determine conformance to 3.6.12.8.1, it shall be verified
that the fire interrupt and WPM hatch indicators come on, the alarm is sounded, and action is
inhibited in azimuth and elevation drive when the weapon station hatch has been opened.
