REQUIREMENTS

3.1 Material- Materials and parts shall be in accordance
with applicable drawings and specifications.
3.2 Components and Assemblies.- The components and assemblies
shall comply with all requirements specified on Dwg. 9298304 and
associated drawings and with all requirements specified in appli-
cable specifications and standards.
3.3 Metal and Plastic Defects.- All of the components prior
to painting or chemical treatment shall be free of surface imper-
fections on the interior and exterior surfaces of the part which
are indications of discontinuities internal to the material.
(Included are cracks, lube bursts, pipes, laminations, segrega-
tions, porosity, air holes, flakes, inclusions, and other internal
defects).
3.4 Leak Test.- Each warhead less fuze, but with the base
plug properly installed shall not leak at a rate in excess of
0.0001 cc/sec.
3.5 Electrical Resistance of Warhead Assembly.- The elec-
trical resistance between the forward umbilical connector on
the warhead assembly and the aft receptacle on the warhead
assembly for each individual conductor and shield shall be
three (3.00) Ohms maximum.  (Dwg. 9297239)
3.6 Insulation Resistance of Warhead Assembly.- The in-
sulation resistance between the conductor and shield of the
cable assembly and between the conductor and case on the war-
head assembly and between the shield and case shall be one
(1.00) megohm, minimum. (Dwg. 9297239)
3.7 Static Firing.- The warhead assembly (Dwg. 9297239)
less fuze XM439, but with a detonator assembly simulating the
XM439 fuze and approved by the procuring activity, shall fire
expelling the flechettes and tracer assemblies and each tracer
assembly will ignite and continue to undergo the combustion pro-
cess for at least four (4) seconds emitting visible light.
