3.8.2 Controls. All controls, receptacles, and switches shall be mounted on the unit so that
they are accessible to the operator when the operator is standing on the ground.
3.8.2.1 Power receptacles. Six female receptacles of the 4-pole type suitable for 20-ampere,
440-volt service shall be provided. The receptacles shall be equal to and interchangeable with
Joy part No. X8060-85 and shall consist of an insert equal to and interchangeable with Joy part
No. X8060-87, and shall be provided with 24-inch pigtails plus a spring loaded covered
mounting shell equal to and interchangeable with Joy part No. X1697. The receptacles shall be
mounted in a bank and shall be accessible to the operator from the ground level. One of the six
receptacles shall be provided with a motor starter as specified in 3.8.2.5 and shall be clearly
identified. A main feeder receptacle of the 4-pole male type suitable for 200-amp, 440-volt
service shall be provided and shall include a spring-loaded dust cover and a safety chain. The
receptacle shall be equal to and interchangeable with Joy part No. X8617-26.
3.8.2.2 Main feeder disconnect. The main feeder disconnect shall be a circuit breaker
conforming to NEMA AB-1. The circuit breaker shall be a nonautomatic circuit interrupter with
shunt trip device. It shall provide watertight (type IV) and dust tight (type V) construction in
accordance with NEMA IC-1. The breaker shall be 3-pole, rated for 225 amperes, and actuated
by an external handle. The switch handle positions shall be labeled: "OFF", "ON", "RESET".
3.8.2.3 Safety cutout. Two, one-position, pushbutton, switch-type, normally-open safety
cutouts shall be furnished. One safety cutout shall be located on the distribution panel. The
other safety cutout shall be located so as to be operable from ground level while the operator is
viewing the side of the unit opposite the side on which the distribution panel is located. Each
safety cutout shall be rated at 30-ampere maximum interrupting current and shall be labeled
"STOP". The safety cutouts shall be of dusttight (type V) and watertight (type IV) construction
in accordance with NEMA IC-1. One safety cutout shall be located on the distribution panel.
The other safety cutout shall be located so as to be operable from ground level while viewing the
side of the unit opposite the side on which the distribution panel is mounted.
3.8.2.4 Distribution panel and branch circuit protective devices. The panel shall be of
dusttight (type V) and watertight (type IV) construction in accordance with NEMA IC-1. The
panel shall be 3-phase, 4-wire, solid neutral, with 200-ampere, main-lug capacity. Each branch
circuit shall be provided with a circuit breaker in accordance with NEMA AB-1. Single-pole
