MIL-W-85057(AS)
3.3.6.4 Adjustments and Alignments.  All adjustments and alignments shall
occur only during SRA repair.  A list of all adjustments and alignments shall
be submitted for approval by the procuring activity. There shall be no adjust-
ments or alignments required for installation of WRAs into the system at the
organizational level.
3.3.6.5 Maintainability Indices.  The organizational and intermediate
level maintainability indices shall conform to AR-10 with the stated exceptions
of 3.3.6.7 and 3.3.6.4 and 3.3,6.12.
3.3.6.6 Reversibility.  It shall be physically impossible to install
any WRA or SRA or mate any cable Improperly.  Mechanical keying, different
size connectors and any other appropriate design implementation shall be used
to minimize these possibilities.
3.3.6.7 Built-in Test (BIT) Function. Suitable BIT features shall be
incorporated into the system or equipment to provide both a failure detection
function and a failure location function.
3.3.6.7.1 Failure Detection Function. The failure detection function
shall provide the equipment operator with a GO/NO-GO indication of equipment
readiness.
3.3.6.7.2 Failure Location Function.  In conjunction with, but not
necessarily as a part of the Failure Detection Function, the equipment shall
incorporate features which will automatically locate a failure both on the
ground and in flight.  This built-in failure location function shall be
such as to obviate the need for any auxiliary test devices for the performance
of organizational maintenance.
3.3.6.7.2.1 Failure Location Level. The failure location function
shall locate the malfunction to the faulty WRA.
3.3.6.7.2.2 Fault Indicators.
The failure location features shall
automatically energize a GO/NO-GO signal device(s) located on the face of
DC and CIU.  The device(s) shall be such as to hold the last test result
if power is interrupted or removed.
3.3.6.7.3 Built-in-Test-Equipment (BITE).  The Weapon Delivery Computer
(WDC) shall provide BITE hardware features that shall operate in conjunction
with the ARBS Operational Flight Program (OFP)/Operational Test Program (OTP)
to perform complete end-to-end checks, fault-isolation and performance
monitoring of the WDC.  The combined hardware/software test capability provided
shall be such that at least 90 percent of the WDC failures shall be isolated to
the appropriate WRA within 5 minutes, and 80 percent of the WDC failures shall be
isolated to the appropriate WRA within 3 minutes. BITE hardware features shall
