MIL-W-85057(AS)
4.6.1.8 Acoustic Noise - The WDC shall be subjected to acoustic noise
in l ccordance with MIL-STD-810, Method 515. with the overall sound pressure
level of Table I.  The functional tests shall be conducted during this test.
4.6.1.9 Salt Atmosphere - The WDC shall be tested in accordance with
MIL-STD-810, Method 509, Procedure I.
4.6.1.10 Sand and Dust - The WDC shall be subjected to sand and dust
when nonoperating, in accordance with MIL-STD-810, Method 510, Procedure I.
The functional test shall be performed prior to and after exposure to sand
and duet.
4.6.1.11 Explosive Atmosphere - The WDC shall be tested in accordance
with the test requirements of MIL-STD-81O, Method 511, Procedure I. The
functional test shall be performed during the exposure to the explosive
environment .  In lieu of testing, a certification that the WDC meets the
explosion-proof requirement of 3.3.9,9 may be submitted.
4.6.1.12 Fungus Test - A certification that the requirements for fungus
inert materials and components have been met may be submitted in lieu of
performing a fungus test.
4.6.1.13 Warm-up Time - The preproduction WDC shall be tested to verify
that the requirements of 3.3.10 are met.
4.6.1.14 Operating Power - The preproduction WDC shall be tested under
worst case combinations of the input power conditions to verify compliance
with the requirements of 3.3.11
.
4.6.2 Operational Tests - Each WDC shall be subjected to the operational
tests specified herein, as listed in Table VIII.
4.6.2.1 Memory Cross Temperature Read-Write Capability - Memory data
shall be stored at -40C and read at +60C and vice-versa to l ssure compliance
with the requirements of 3.4.1.1.3.  The WDC shall be stabilized at each
temperature extreme prior to conducting the read-write operations.
.
4.6.2.2 Input Power - The total input powez to the WDC shall be measured
and recorded at ambient temperature and at -40C and +60C.
4.6.2.3 Addressability - Contiguous addressability from 0000 to 3FFF
hexadecimal shall be verified by 4.6.2.7.  Contiguous addressability from
3FFF to 7FFF shall be verified.
.
4.6.2.4 Memory Protection/Eloctric~ Transients - The WDC shall be
subjected to all extremes of electrical power and power transients as specified
in 3.3.11.2 and 3.3.11.3 with the exception of transients with a duration of
less than 75 us.  Verification that the requirements of 3.4.1.1.4, 3.3.11.2,
3.3.11.3, and 3.3.11.4 are met shall be demonstrated through the execution of
the computer test program specified in 4.6.2.7.
