4.3.2.7 Motor-drive Simulated Gyroscope Transmitter
4.3.2.7.1
The motor-driven simulated gyroscope transmitter shall be
similar to that specified in 4.3.2.4 except it shall be so designed that
it can be driven at 5 and 50 rpm 10 percent and, in addition, shall be
driven as follows:
a.
Steady-state: 60 per second 10 percent; 180 per
minute 10 percent; 30 per minute 10 percent; 24 per minute 3
percent; 12 per minute 13 percent; 6 per minute 3 percent, and
3 per minute 3 percent. The 3, 6, 12, 24, 30, and
1800 per minute rat--es shall be reversible.
b.
Oscillatory (sinusoidal): 2.0 with an 8 second period
and 0.80 with a 1 second period.
Superimposed steady-state and oscillatory:
c.
300 per minute
superimposed on a 0.8, 1 second period oscillation.
4.4
First Article Inspection - First article consists of examinations
and tests performed on samples specified in 4.6 (which are representative
of the production item) after the award of a contract. The examinations
and tests are conducted to determine that the control assemblies meet the
requirements of this specification.
4.4.1 First Article Samples - The test samples shall consist of the
equipment and quantities shown in table XI.
Three samples of each
control assembly (or component, as applicable) shall be subjected to all
the tests except reliability and the remaining samples shall be subjected
to the reliability test only. The samples shall be identified with the
manufacturer's part number and such other information as required by the
procuring activity.
