Bumper Assembly - Complete.
Provide a rear bumper assembly protecting the
full width of the rear of the trailer body,
equipment, and chassis. Provide min. bumper
height of min. 8-in. Provide underneath metal
skid plate which functions to prevent the
bumper from hanging on rock and stumps or
bulldozing dirt while crossing highway
V-ditches.

Leg Assembly.
VMRS 77-003
Front support leg of heavy-duty single leg type
having hand crank and holder, bevel gear box,
anti-friction travel screw, telescopic leg cover
fully enclosed, and self-aligning sand shoe.
Provide support leg of either telescopic
multistage type with min. 20 in. retraction
travel range or folding type trunnion mount
type having min. 14-in. travel range and then
swing-up. Provide clearance for V-ditches
without hang-up. For size 1 and 3, provide
min. 12-in. vertical leg travel. For larger sizes,
provide min. 20-in. vertical leg travel or travel
and swing-up. Min. rated front leg capacity
60 percent of total trailer's GWR on the VIN
plate. All-weather-type, silicone base lubricant
in leg mechanism. For size 1 and 2, provide
min. 9-in. road clearance when ready for travel.
For larger sizes, provide min. 12-in. road
clearance when ready for travel per SAE J849
max. pintle height.
Sand Shoe.
VMRS 77-003-004
Provide equalizing sand shoe having turned-up
edges. For size 1 and 3, provde min. 32-sq. in.
projected area for each shoe. For larger sizes,
provide min. 64-sq. in projected area for each
shoe.
