result of improper handling, improper GFE container design, improper GFE
container construction, or improper transport will be returned to the con-
tractor and will be repaired at the Government's expense. Systems which
were damaged as a result of improper testing by the GTA will be returned to
the contractor and will be repaired at the Government's expense.
Contractor responsibility  The demonstration shall be conducted

under the technical direction (see 6.3.2) of the contractor. The contractor
shall furnish standard best equipment as well as equipment peculiar to the
requirements of the demonstration and items of a recurring nature. Any
equipment procured or constructed by the contractor with governent funds
shall be appropriately marked and shall be disposed of after completion of
the contract according to NAVAIR instructions.

Government responsibility.  Since demonstrations require the use
of government test ranges and other test facilities, the test activity will
exercise technical control (see 6.3.1) over these facilities during the
demonstration and will provide the same kinds of materials, facilities and
services to the contractor as have been furnished in support of the con-
tractor's development test program, or as otherwise stipulated in the con-
tract.
Location of demonstrations.  Except or specific demonstrations

or portions of demonstrations; which can be more economically or expedi-
tiously conducted at the contractor' plant  or at other activities des-
ignated by NAVAIR, demonstrations will be conducted at the GTA.
Handling, storage and transportation.  The system will be handled

such that the design limits of the applicable contract detail specification
will not be exceeded. The system will be transported. and stored in the con-
tainers or packaging specified in the applicable contract detail specifica-
tion. Storage and transportation at the test facility will be the respon-
sibility of the Government. All shipments of systems, system components
or equipments from the contractor, during the conduct of the demonstration,
will be the responsibility of the Government.
Aircrews.  The GTA will provide qualified Naval aircrews to per-

form the contractor demonstrations.
Measurements.  The data used by the GTA to determine system per-

formance in ground test and flight test will be provided to the contractor
upon request.
Weight and balance.  During all tests which involve demonstration

of a System, the contractor shall simulate the actual weight and center of
gravity locations encountered in operation of the system. This may be
accomplished by installation of actual equipment or by the substitution of
ballast such that weight, center of gravity, and moment of inertia charac-
teristics are simulated.
