NOTE: Cold temperature hydraulic test.  For the First Article,
Initial Production and Comparison Tests, dispenser hydraulic system

testing to be conducted at a temperature of minus 25 5 F,
will be performed by the Government at Aberdeen Proving Ground.  The
contractor will be responsible for the successful performance of the
dispenser during this Government conducted test procedure. The
contractor will be responsible for conducting the hydraulic system
testing per para. 4.6.2.6.3.1, for all production dispensers, at
O
ambient temperature in lieu of the specified minus 25 F.
4.6.2.6.3.2 Servo relief setting.
Measure the servo relief.
setting as follows:
a.
Connect a gauge, accurate to within plus or minus five
percent (+5%) of full scale, to the servo inlet port.
The full scale of the gauge selected shall not exceed
150 percent of the required servo relief setting (see)
para. 3.4.2.4).
b. Plug the servo outlet port.
c. Run the dispenser at maximum govered speed and record
the servo relief pressure.
d. This test shall be conducted  when the hydraulic system
is warmed up, as defined in 6.7.4.
e. Non-conformance to 3.4.2.4 shall constitute failure of
this test.
4.6.2.7 Electrical system tests.
4.6.2.7.1 Voltage generating system (alternator). The
generator voltage shall be checked for functional requirements.
observation shall be made for conformance with the applicable
requirements.
4.6.2.7.2  Electrical connections. To determine conformance to
3.4.2.5.2 and 3.4.2.5.4 the connections shall be observed for all
the applicable functional and physical requirements. Non-compliance
shall constitute failure of this test.
4.6.2.7.3  Built-in Test Equipment (BITE). The BITE panel.
checkout and malfunction detection shall be performed as follows:
4.6.2.7.3.1 BITE ALARM CONTROL PANEL SET-UP.
a. Move Switch 1 S1 to TEST position Close S2, S3, S4
and S5. Set S6 to UP, then push S9. Set S14 thru S20 to the left
and S21 to NORMAL.
b.  Turn S13 to the right.  Set S22 thru S25 to the right.
Move the master power switch to ON.  The following lamps should come
on: L28, L63, L64, L65, L66, L70, L71 and L72.
