(5) observe and record the state of the TAPS left fail
malfunction indicator light.
(6) Remove 28 0.3V power supply from connector P10.
(7) Observe and record the states of the right and left
TAPS fail malfunction indicator lights.
(8) Reconnect all electrical connections to the proper
configuration.
The data shall be observed for compliance with the applicable
requirements.
4.6.2.7.5 Controls.  All controls shall be operated, adjusted,
and checked for functional requirements. Observation shall be made
for conformance with the applicable requirements.
4.6.2.7.5.1 Control panel malfunction warning and automatic
shut-down system.  With the engine running, check function as
follows:
Coolant overheat.  Remove coolant sensor and immerse
a.
in radiator coolant as used in the system and observe
malfunction lamp on operator control panel for
compliance with the applicable requirement.
Engine oil pressure. Insert sensor in external
b.
adjustable pressure source and observe pressure gage on
main panel and malfunction light on operator control
panel for compliance with the applicable requirement.
Low fluid level in reservoir. Drain sufficient
c.
hydraulic fluid from reservoir so level is below sensor
and attempt to start engine. Observe red warning light
on operator control panel for compliance with the
applicable requirements. Refill reservoir and again
observe warning light on operator control panel for no
light.
TAPS malfunction. Disconnect right TAPS coil and observe
d.
red warning light on "BITE" panel and attempt to run
right magazine in launch mode for compliance with the
applicable requirements. Reconnect right TAPS
coil, observe red warning light on operator control
panel and right TAPS light on BITE panel. Repeat for
left TAPS coil.
