MIL-D-63303B[AR)
NOTE: In each of the tests specified in 4.6.2.13.8 and
4.6.2.13.10, count the dispenser wheel revolutions
required to launch twenty-five (25) mines. This will
provide the equivalent pattern length which combined with
pattern width will provide the necessary data to
calculate mine density for each of the density selector
positions for static variation.
4.6.2.13.11 Downloading. Test downloading as follows:
a. Mode selector switch in OFF.
b. Left magazine selector switch in UNLOAD.
c. Right magazine selector switch in UNLOAD.
Download remaining mines in both magazines and observe for
compliance with the applicable requirement.
4.6.3 Stowed equipment.  All manufacturer and depot installed
Basic Issue Items (BII) shall be stored (combat loaded) on the
selected dispenser. All interior and exterior items shall fit in
the spaces provided. The equipment shall be removed after the
test. The BII used shall be of the latest production available to
the contractor. The contractor shall be permitted to unpackage and
repackage equipment used for test. Observation shall be made for
compliance with applicable requirement.
4.6.4 Comparison tests. The Government may select dispensers
anytime during a production contract period and subject dispensers
to any or all of the inspections and tests of TABLE VII and VIII to
determine defects of a workmanship or material nature that may
reduce the effectiveness of these items in the field, and compare
existing quality with previous standards. All tests specified shall
be conducted at Government laboratories or proving grounds
designated by the contracting officer. Comparison test dispensers
shall be combat loaded with all OVE stored in place. The Government
may elect to conduct comparison tests of less than 500 miles.
4.6.4.1 Test failure.  Failure of the selected dispenser to
comply with any of the requirements specified above, or any major
defects of a workmanship or materials nature occuring during or as a
result of the test cycle, shall be cause for refusal to continue
acceptance of dispensers by the Government until objective evidence
has been provided by the manufacturer that corrective action has
been taken to eliminate the cause of failure.
4.6.4.2 Mine dispersion.  When specified in the contract (see
6.2) or when the testing agency deems it more advantageous, a
computer aided test and inspection equipment approved by the
developing agency may be used in addition to or instead of test
methods specified herein.
