MIL-D-63303B(AR)
4.6.4.3.2 Hiqh-temperature test conditions.  The dispenser
sha0 l be located in an area with an ambient temperature of 125F
l
(52 ). The change in the ambient temperature in the area selected
shall not be more than five (5)F (3C) during a four (4) hour
period. Wind velocity in the area shall not exceed one (1) mph
(1.61 km/m).  The dispenser shall be serviced with military oils and
greases designated for use in the ambient temperatures at which the
test is to be run. (See lubrication Order L09-1095-205-12). The
coolant system shall be serviced with anti-freeze.
4.6.4.3.2.1 Hiqh-temperature operation.  After preparation (see
4.6.2.6.3 and 4.6.4.3.1) check specific gravity of each battery and
subject the dispenser to an ambient temperature of 125F (52C)
until the temperature of the dispenser has stabilized. Once
stabilized, subject the dispenser to the operational tests of
4.6.2.13 and observe for compliance with requirements of 3.4.2.2.3.1
and 3.5.2.  On completing the tests, stop the engine; restart the
engine after five (5) minutes and operate for ten (10) minutes with
launching system OFF.  Failure of the engine to start and operate
within the limits of applicable engine specifications failure of
any component to function~  out of specification thermocouple
readings, or failure to meet test requirements shall constitute
failure of the test.
4.6.4.3.3 Low temperature test conditions.  The dispenser shall
be located in an area with an ambient temperature of minus 25F
(minus 323C unless otherwise stated. The change in the ambient
temperature in the area selected shall not be more than five 5F
(3C) during a four (4) hour period. Wind velocity in the area
shall not exceed one (1) mph (1.6. km/hr). The dispenser shall be
serviced with military oils and greased designated for use in the
ambient temperatures at which the test is to be run. See
Lubrication Order LO9-1095-205-12).
4.6.4.3.3.1 Low temperature operation. The following test
procedure shall apply and all data shall beO recorded for the low
temperature operation (minus 25 FJ minus 32 C).  The dispenser
O
shall have installed prior to the test, thermocouples as stated in
4.6.4.3.1 and temperatures shall be recorded prior to engine
starting, and at fifteen (15) minute intervals during engine warm-up
and cycling.
Prepare dispenser for operational tests (see 4.6.2.6.3).
a.
b.  Check the specific gravity of each battery to insure
full charge.
c.  0  Subject the dispenser to an ambient temperature of minus
0
25 F (minus 32 C) until all parts, lube oil, Coolant/
fuel, fluid and batteries have stabilized at the specified
temperature.
