(2)  Glass: Nominal 150 x 300 x 6 mm (6 x 12 x 0.25 in) glass, ground or abrasive blasted with
aluminum oxide that meets Commercial Item Description A-A-1045, Type I, Class I and solvent cleaned to
provide a uniform, clean rough surface on one side.
Primers specified in 4.5.1.2 shall be applied to the prepared sides(s) of the test panel. Cure for 24 hours at room
temperature and then 1 hour at 40 to 50C (104 to 122F) unless otherwise specified herein.
4.5.1.2. Test Primers. The following primers shall be used:
a.
MIL-DTL-24441/1.
b.
A NAVSEA 03M1 approved inorganic zinc-rich primer.
c.
TT-P-645
4.6. Test procedures (all types). Test procedures shall be listed in table V and as otherwise specified
herein.
4.6.1. Storage Stability.
4.6.1.1. Shelf Life. When allowed to remain undisturbed for 2 years under ambient conditions (see 4.5),
the enamel shall conform to the requirements in 3.8.4.1.
4.6.1.2. Partially full container. Skinning shall be determined after 48 hours in accordance with method
3021.1 of FED-STD-141, except that a -filled, - pint, resin-lines, multiple friction top can shall be used. The
can shall be resealed and aged for 30 days at 60C (140F) and examined for compliance with 3.8.4.2.
