MIL-F-48057B(AR)
4.5.11.5 Arming 40 g's.  Each S&A shall be tested as in 4 5.11.2.1 or
4.5.11.2.2 except that the rotor shall rotate from the fully safe position to
the fully armed and detented position and meet the timing requirements of
3.3.3 and 3.3.7 (Type I) or 3.3.8 (Type II) when subjected to an acceleration
of 40 g's. Any S&A that fails to meet the requirement shall be classed
defective.
4.5.12 Magnetic impulse generator (MIG) test.
4.5.12.1 Helicopter vibration. The assemblies shall be conditioned as
required in 3.4.2.3. Following conditioning, the assemblies shall be assem-
bled into a test fixture which contains a simulated Release Pin assembly in
the cocked position and a simulated potted base assembly. The unit shall be
activated by the release of the Release Pin and the voltage output measured in
accordance with the requirements of 3.4.2.2. Any MIG that fails the
requirement shall be classed defective.
4.5.12.2 MIG spring force. Apply the specified load perpendicular to the
bobbin assembly thru the hole in the forward end plate and inspect for confor-
mance to 3.4.2.1. Any MIG that fails the requirement shall be classed
defective.
4.5.12.3 Energy storage capacity.
The MIG shall be tested for storage
capacity by assembly into a fixture which contains a simulated Release Pin
assembly in the cocked position and a simulated potted base assembly. The
unit shall be activated by the release of the release pin, and the voltage
output measured and recorded. The same unit shall be measured and the voltage
recorded to meet the requirements of 3.4.2.2. Any MIG that fails the
requirement shall be classed defective.
4.5.13 Forty-foot drop.  The sub-assembly with inert lead, inert booster,
inert warhead and motor shall be subjected to the Forty-Foot Drop Test as
specified in MIL-STD-331 with the exception that the round shall be dropped
base down only. The complete pack as specified by the procuring agency shall
be used. Any sub-assembly that fails the requirements shall be classed
defective.
4.5.14 Jolt and jumble. The sub-assembly shall be subjected to the Jolt
Test specified in MIL-STD-331 with the exception that the fuze shall not be
disassembled and inspected after the Jolt Test. After completion of the Jolt
Test, the same fuze shall be subjected to and withstand the Jumble Test speci-
fied in MIL-STD-331.  Any sub-assembly that fails the requirements shall be
cause for lot rejection.
4.5.15 Vibration.
The helicopter vibration test shall be performed on a
random sample of 48 fuze sub-assemblies selected from each lot. The sample
fuzes shall be subjected to the helicopter vibration test in accordance with
3.8.6. Following vibration, the fuzes shall be subjected to the tests and
acceptance or rejection criteria specified in 4.5.17.
