Simulated Firing Test - The intervalometer shall be operated once each
3*3.7.4
in the "ripple" and "single" modes with an input voltage of 20 to 30 volts.DC
through a 5 ohm 200 watt resistor.  A Dummy Load consisting of a 1.0 ohm resist-
ance for a 10 2.0 ms duration shall be connected between each tube firing con-
tact and ground.  The firing and stepping times in each mode shall be within
the tolerances specified by As1142.
Rough Handlin g- The launcher package shall be prepared and tested in
3.3.8.1
accordance with paragraph 4.5.3.
Pressure Retention - The launcher shall be prepared and tested in
3.3.8.1.2
accordance with 4.5.3.1.

Reliability and Performance - The launcher shall safely and reliably
carry and launch nineteen 2.75 inch Folding Fin Aircraft Rockets from high perform-
ance-aircraft under combat environmental conditions without failure.  The
launcher shall meet the environmental requirements of section 4 of this spec-
ification and there shall be no failure to launch owing to malfunctioning of
the launcher under any of the test conditions of section 4.  The launcher shall
be capable of being fired repeatedly if'it is not damaged by misuse or rough
handling.
Quality

Workmanship - Workmanship shall be of sufficiently high grade to

insure proper operation and service life and shall be acceptable to the procuring
activity.  All electrical components shall be installed in accordance with the
workmanship requirements of MIL-E-5400.
Maintainability - The launcher shall be of-a design that maintenance

and servicing requirements shall be held to a minimum.
Useful Life - The minimum useful service life of the launcher shall be

determined by the firing of a single tube of a launcher and performing a Detent
Pull Test, 4.5.5, after each firing.  Twenty firings per tube shall be minimum.
Environmental Requirements - The Launcher shall be tested in accord-

ance with paragraph 4.5.4 and shall meet the requirements of 3.3.7 after or
during, as applicable, exposure to the following environmental conditions:

a) Moisture
Penetration Resistance Test (4.5.4.1)

Low Temperature (4.5.4.3)

Salt Spray (4.5.4.4)

Waterproofness (4.5.4.5)

Shock Test (4.5.4.7)
Static Loading - The launcher shall be tested in accordance with 4.5.6.
