MIL-N-85005A(AS)
Standard Conditions - The following conditions shall be used
3.3.9
to establish normal performance characteristics under standard conditions
and for making laboratory bench tests.
Room Ambient (25C 10C)
Temperature
Normal Ground
Altitude
None
Vibration
Room Ambient up to 90% relative humidity
Humidity
115 1.0 VAC single phase, 400
Input Power Voltage
20 Hz and 27.5 0.5 VDC
Service Conditions - The equipment shall operate satisfactorily
3.3.10
under any of the environmental service conditions or reasonable combination
of these conditions as specified in Specification MIL-E-5400 for Class 1A
equipment, except as modified herein:
*
3.3.10.1 Vibration - The equipment shall operate to the requirements
of this specification when subjected to the vibration requirements of Curves
I and II of Specification MIL-E-5400, except as modified below:
(1) Curve I shall be limited to 5g.
(2) The Tactical Display Control shall meet Curve I
or 5 g's, whichever is less, for X and Y axis; and Curve
I and III from 5 to 160 Hz, 2 g's from 160 to 400 Hz,
5 g's (Curve 111) from 400 to 500 Hz for Z axis. Cross-
over points 160 Hz and 400 Hz (Z-axis Tactical Display
Control Unit) are not considered resonances.
3.3.10.2 Temperature - The minimum temperature for satisfactory per-
formance to the requirements of this specification shall be -30C. The
battery contained in the Battery Unit shall not be subjected to temperature
less than -40C or greater than +55C. Battery protection for power inter-
ruptions shall not be required at temperatures below -15C, or above +45C.
Warm-Up Time - The time required for the equipment to warm
3.3.11
up prior to operation shall be kept to a minimum and shall not exceed 3 minutes
under standard conditions, and 5 minutes at -30C.
Alignment time for the Inertial Measurement Set is not
included in warm-up time.
Input Electrical Power
3.3.12
3.3.12.1 Operating Power - The equipment shall meet all applicable
requirements of MIL-STD-704 and shall give specified performance when
energized from the following power sources having characteristics and limits
as defined in MIL-STD-704, except as modified herein. The power required shall
not exceed the specified amounts.
