with QQ-Z-325 or QQ-P-416 whichever is applicable, except
that actual arts may be used in lieu of specimens. The
test procedure shall be as specified in 4.5.3.
4.4.3.4 Embrittlement of extension spring. - Major A
defect - Fifty (50) springs shall be selected from each heat
treatment lot for test.  If one or more springs fail to comply
with the requirements (see 3.4), the heat treatment lot shall
be rejected.  The test procedure shall be as specified in
4.5.4.  Springs used for this test shall not be returned
to the lot.
4.4.3.5 Length of trip wire. - Major B defect - A sample
of twenty (20) spool assemblies shall be selected from each
lot for this test.  The lot shall be rejected if one (1) or
more trip wires fail to meet the specified requirement (see
dwg. 8848590) when tested in accordance with 4.5.5.
*4.4.3.6  functioning. - The simulator assemblies shall
be observed for any evidence of failure to comply with the
requirements classified in Table IV, when tested as specified
in 4.5.6.1.

*4.4.3.6.1 Beginning with the first lot produced and
continuing until three (3) consecutive lots have complied
with the applicable requirements specified, one-hundred and
-
twenty-five (125) simulator assemblies shall be selected
from each let for testing.  The lot shall be rejected if
during the test, one (1) or more critical defects as listed
