submitted for Government approval prior to commencement of
production.  Acceptance tests shall be performed by the
manufacturer,  These tests are defined in 4.5.
4.3.2
Preproduction and periodic production tests. -
Preproduction and periodic production tests are those which
are accomplished on samples selected as specified in 4.1.2
and 4.1.4 which are representative of the Production of the
hydrostatic switch after the award of the contract to deter-
mine that the lot and production meet the requirements of
this specification.  These tests are detailed in 4.6, Accept-
ance shall be based on no defects in a sample.  Failure of a
sample to comply with these requirements will l result in the
rejection of the lot or the cessation of production as deter-
mined by the procuring activity.
Test equipment. - The following items of special

test equipment are require  to perform the acceptance tests
set forth in this specification:
Equipment for supplying up to 300 psi
air pressure to stem orifice of
hydrostatic switch.
4.5
Acceptance tests.
Examination. - The Switch, Hydrostatic, Mark 63
4.5.1
Mod 0 or Mod l-shall be examined to determine conformance
with this specification and LD 479921 or LD 544890 and all
drawings listed thereon. Exam inat ion shall be conducted as
specified in CD 1635169 for the Mod 0 and in CD 2419851 for
the Mod 1,  Sampling shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105
and the Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) as specified in the
applicable CD.  In regard to Critical defects, inspection lot
sizes of 150 or less shall be examined 100%.  For inspection
lot sizes of 151 to 3200, use a sample of 150 units, acceptance
number zero.  For inspection lot sizes greater than 3200, use
the sample size as indicated in MIL-STD-105, acceptance number
zero.
4.5.2
Test conditions. - Unless otherwise specified
the test procedures of 4.5.4 shall be accomplished under the
following-conditions:

Temperature:  Room ambient 65 degrees F to
95 degrees F.  (18.33 degrees C
to 35.00 degrees C)
4.5.2.2
Normal ground.
Altitude:
4.5.2.3
Vibration:
None.
4.5.2.4
Humidity:
Room ambient to 95 percent
relative maximum.
