4.5.4.3 Insulation resistance. - The insulation resist-
ance tests shall be accomplished as specified in MIL-STD-202,
Method 302 Test Condition A. The insulation resistance
shall be checked between the following points:
Between the two electrical leads.
1.
2.  Between each of the two electrical leads
and the body of the switch.
Any hydrostatic switch which indicates an insulation resist-
ance of less than 50 megohms between any of the above points,
shall be regarded as defective.
4.5.4.4 Leakage - The hydrostatic switch shall be
tested for leakage by application of air pressure as indicated
below `to the orifice in the sea side of the switch, for a
period of 30 seconds minimum.  The test fixture of Figure 1
shall be used for this purpose.  Any h drostatic switch which
shows evidence of leakage, as indicate d by a movement of the
oil slug for more  than 1 inch in the 30 second timing period,
shall be regarded as defective.
