4.2.4 Rejection and Retest First Article Samples.  Samples which
have been rejected or returned to the manufacturer for any reason
during first-article tests, may be reworked or have parts
replaced to correct defects.  Before resubmitting the samples,
full particulars concerning the rejection and the corrective
action taken by the supplier must be submitted in writing by the
supplier to the approving activity.  Tests shall not be resumed
until such a report is received.  Where first article tests are
conducted under the auspices of the supplier, the approving
activity will be advised upon failure of a first article sample
and of the action taken by the supplier with regard to failure.
If the supplier does not correct and return components rejected
during testing within sixty days after he receives them from the
approving activity or does not submit a program acceptable to the
approving activity for the correction of deficiencies noted
within thirty days, the component will be considered
unacceptable.
4.2.5 Disassembly and Inspection.  At the conclusion of tests,
each sample will be disassembled as necessary to inspect for
wear, defects and overheating.
4.2.6 Test Report.  A test report is required and shall be
prepared in accordance with MIL-STD-831.
4.3 Acceptance.
4.3.1 Acceptance Requirements.  Each unit produced under this
specification will be accepted if:
a.  Conforms to this specification and if the conformance is
sustained in accordance with paragraph 4.2.3.
b.  Acceptance tests as designated by Table I are
successfully completed.
c. All changes to equipment have been processed in
accordance with MIL-STD-480.
4.3.2 Rejection and Retest of Units Submitted For Acceptance.
Units that have been rejected may be reworked or have parts
replaced to correct the defects and resubmitted for acceptance.
Before resubmitting, full particulars concerning previous
rejection and the action taken to correct the defects found in
the original shall be furnished to the Government Inspector.

4.4 Test Conditions.  Unless otherwise specified in this
specification, all tests shall be conducted at an ambient
temperature range of 50 - 120F (10 - 49C) and with the
