T h e trailer shall be capable of
3.2.1.4 Turning capability.
e x e c u t i n g a turn radius of 175 inches or less at 10 miles per hour
( m p h ) without evidence of tipping, i.e. wheels not making contact
w i t h the g r o u n d , when loaded-in the following conditions.

3 . 2 . 1 . 5 E l e c t r i c a l s y s t e m . T h e electrical system shall be
p a t i b l e with both a twelve and twenty-four volt power source.
3 . 2 . 1 . 6 R e a d a b i l i t y . T h e trailer, loaded and unloaded, shall be
capable of being towed at speeds up to and including 20 to 35 mph,
r e s p e c t i v e l y , without any visible. deviations from the tow vehicle
w h e e l path.
3.2.1.7 Accessories.
3 . 2 . 1 . 7 . 1 R a i l s y s t e m . T h e rail system (main rail and munition
c h o c k s ) shall be capable of moving a cylindrical shape (similar
to the size of a M-118 bomb) of 3000 pounds from one side of the
t r a i l e r to the other without any binding of the munitions chocks
i n the main rail.
3 . 2 . 1 . 7 . 2 R a i l e x t e n d e r . T w o rail extenders, when installed on
t r a i l e r , shall be capable of supporting 9000 pounds evenly distributed.
T h e trailer shall conform to the
3.2.1.8 Air transportability.
requirements of MIL-A-8421.
The overall height of the trailer bed shall be

30 inches 1/8 inch unloaded at a tire pressure of 32 pounds per
s q u a r e inch (psi).
3 . 2 . 1 . 1 0 W e i g h t . T h e total weight of the trailer, excluding
accessories shall be 3600 pounds 10 percent. T h e accessories are
the munitions trolley assemblies, rail assemblies, rail extenders,
e x p l o s i v e s i g n s , t i e down straps and stake panels.
3 . 2 . 1 . 1 1 C o n f i g u r a t i o n c o n t r o l . C o n f i g u r a t i o n c o n t r o l shall
be
performed in accordance with MIL-STD-480.
3 . 3 D e s i g n a n d construction.
3 . 3 . 1 Production drawings. T h e c o n f i g u r a t i o n o f t h e t r a i l e r s h a l l
conform to Air Force Drawing 68E6900. I f t h i s s p e c i f i c a t i o n a n d t h e
d r a w i n g conflict, t h e specification shall govern. Any discrepancy,
d e f i c i e n c y , o r ambiguity shall be forwarded immediately to the
contracting officer.
