MIL-T-63520(AR)
3.8.7 Fire voltage output load. The system load characteristics for Pin
J2-A shall be a short circuit (less than 2 ohms) for two milliseconds. An
open circuit (greater than 100,000 ohms) shall be the load on Pin J2-A for 80
ms. This cycle shall be repetitive.
3.8.8 Power supply fail safe. Whenever the -12 Vdc internal supply is
less than -5 Vdc, a low voltage protection circuit shall inhibit the output
functions at Pins J2-A and J1-K.
3.8.9 Time totalizing meter. The gun control assembly shall include a
meter(without reset capability) that provides a readout in hours of the time
that 115 Vac has been applied.
3.8.10 Proof test (first article inspection only). Gun control
assemblies shall operate when assembled to an accepted Universal Turret
Subsystem (UTS)
3.9 Workmanship. All parts and assemblies shall be fabricated and
finished in a thorough, workmanlike manner, and all manufacturing, processing,
and assembly operations shall be correctly performed. The parts shall be
clean and free of burrs, sharp edges, cracks, unblended radii, surface
defects, chips, dirt, grease and oil (except where specifically required),
corrosion products, and other foreign matter. The cleaning method used shall
not be injurious to any part or assembly nor shall the parts be contaminated
by the cleaning agents. Exterior surface coatings shall be continuous:
however, a few light scratches not exposing base material may be permitted.
All required markings and stamping shall be neat and sharply defined.
Required packing shall be dry.
3.9.1 Solder and electronic workmanship. Solder and electronic
workmanship shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-454. All parts and assemblies
shall be clean and free of any fingerprints, dirt, oils, cleaning agents,
corrosive material or other material which could affect serviceability. There
shall be no evidence of burning, warpage, cracking, chipped edges or other
defects which could made the part unsatisfactory for the purpose intended.
4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
4.1 Responsibility for inspection and standard quality assurance
provisions. Unless otherwise specified herein or in the contract, the
provisions of MIL-W-63150 shall apply and are hereby made a part of this
detail specification.
4.1.1 Certification provisions. The certification provisions of
MIL-W-63150 shall apply (see 6.2.1).
