3.4.3.2 Form Factor.
The configuration of the WE shall be such that it
does not extend beyond the contour of the Radar Maintenance Table-Rack. It
shall be compatible with both the Centerline and Side Bench configurations
of the Radar Maintenance Table - Rack without modification, shall permit
maintenance operations on the Radar Set without the necessity for disassembly.
Electrical interfacing shall contain no permanent (solder) type connections and
shall utilize quick- disconnect type connections wherever possible. Size of
the WE shall not exceed 18 x 18 x 30 inches.
Weight of the WE exclusive of
system LRU'S, shall not exceed sixty (60) pounds.
3.4.3.3 Interface.
Performance of the Wave guide Extension is dependent
upon integration with the Test Set, Missile Control System, AN/AWG-10
Side Bench or Centerline Bench. "Timing and BDC signals, power, X-band
energy, and cooling air are obtained by interfacing with the Bench Radar
System, and the Side Bench or Certerline Bench Test- Rack. The Wave guide
Extension (WE) shall be designed as a part of the Intermediate Level Facility
and shall be compatible with both Centerline and Sidebench configuration of
the Radar Maintenance Table -Rack.
This combination shall be for test
purposes and the electrical interface shall contain no permanent (solder) type
connections.
